An Inspector from the Department of Motor Vehicles will be presenting on:
* DOT numbers, who needs one?
* For hire versus Not for hire.
* Hours of Service & Electronic Log Device Requirements
* Medical Card Requirements
* A “walk around” of both a loaded log truck and a lowbed with a machine chained down on it to discuss load securement and other common issues that DMV inspectors typically find during a roadside stop.

Team Safe Trucking-The American Loggers Council and Forest Resource Association have worked with insurance companies to develop Team Safe Trucking materials. New training modules and materials will be introduced.

Log loader and landing safety-Discussion of log landing and loader safety, blind spots, overhead lifting and truck traffic. Skidders, slashers, chippers, log loaders and log trucks all are operating in a tight space on a typical landing. Learn about taking steps to prevent accidents to make your landing a safe one.

Staff from Green Mountain Kenworth will be on hand with a new Kenworth truck to discuss safety features and what is coming in new truck development.
